In order to get himself elected...and push his socialist agenda...
Obama lied and said the economy was worse than it was...to scare consumers into not spending...

Back when I had my Federal Firearms License, I was constantly receiving sale papers in the mail from Gander Mountain. They really wanted to sell me some guns! Their prices at that time were outrageous. I finally called them and asked what the dealer discount was. I was told that there was no discount, the prices in the catalog was what they wanted to sell them to me for. I then told them that if I wished to buy guns at retail prices, I would go to Wal-Mart as their prices were much better at that time.
Then I was there when Gander Mountain was building their store here. I personally delivered the shopping cart racks that they have out in front of the store. They were getting merchandise in fast and furious before they even had all the shelving and hangracks up. It got to the point that trucks were having to pull in behind the store to be unloaded with a forklift because the dock doors were blocked with merchandise they couldn't put up yet.
I haven't used their restrooms, But as of late, I have noticed a few things about the store that I don't like. The ammunition prices have gone through the roof, if they have any ammunition at all. And you're right, the clothing is stagnant. It's not moving. And there is a shortage of clothing that fits normal sized people such as me.

Ammo prices have gone thru the roof. Cheaper Than Dirt is running low on LOTS of their ammo. We have heard that lots that people have stocked up, since the election of our current "prez".
The general line of thought is that's exactly what he wants to do. Now I haven't heard anuthing official, but word on the street is that home reloading of ammunition will soon be outlawed as new production ammo is all that will be allowed. All old production ammo will be destroyed. New production ammo is alleged to be coded in such a way that it can be scanned and the purchaser of the ammunition can be determined. Personally, I thing this is a pipe dream and an exercise in futility. Too many people (myself included) have too much ammo to allow it to be confiscated and destroyed. I have well over 500 rounds of ammo for one of my rifles alone.
Another rumor I heard is that a bill is alleged to be going before the congress currently that will require all privately owned firearms to be federally registered. I think they're going for something a little more complex than just filling out the yellow form when you buy a gun. Currently only a few of my firearms have been bought from licensed dealers (I filled out a yellow form). The rest, I have either inherited or bought from private collectors.
For the record, to this day none of my firearms have ever been used against any man nor have I ever threatened to do such. I pray the day may never come that I would have to make the decision whether or not to do so.
