I kept wishing you would come back and see how far we got the Natalie thread over at the other place. We kept it going for you, and was hoping you would make it back for the year anniversary that you started the thread. Ooooops, now I don't even remember when the year was going to be. Oh well, gosh, it's good to see this on here. HEY, where's Flu? Why isn't he on here keeping this thing going? Flu, where the heck are you? Marked, pictures please!

Flu bolted even before AGN showed their complete lack of a backbone. I think some religious zealots were trying to dominate the forums and he got sick of it. He's on wolfman's board, but I haven't seen that he posts very often. Both boards are pretty slow. My alter ego Unk and I try to keep things going.

Yeah, fer sure about the zealots! It made me want to hurl!!! We were trying to get LH to stop, but she just kept on and on and on... we were trying to keep Flu and and Mrs. Flu and the others from leaving, but, a person can stand so much. I have missed them both so much, and everyone else too. I hope we can all get back together again.
Where is EVERYBODY?

May 22, 2007 VOTE "READY TO RUN" AS HILARY CLINTON'S OFFICIAL CAMPAIGN SONG! Screw "Idol," Pick Hillary's Theme Song! "Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton is really interested in what the people of America think about the important issues: the war in Iraq, health care and ... her campaign theme song! Sing it, girl! On the former First Lady's official website, Clintonites can choose from nine songs. The winner will be the New York Senator's presidential anthem. Don't stop thinking about tomorrow, Hills! Tunes in the running include: "Get Ready" by the Temptations, "Right Here Right Now" by the ever-popular Jesus Jones (huh??), two U2 songs: "Beautiful Day" and "City of Blinding Lights," and most interestingly, Bush-bashing and Grammy-winning artists the Dixie Chicks with "Ready to Run." Holla!..." ;D

WHEN Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines announced to a London crowd on the eve of the Iraq War that she was ashamed her president came from Texas, she couldn't have known this would transform her band from multimillion-selling country music stars into the focal point of a modern-day witch hunt in America. That's what happened, though, and this documentary caught it all: from reading the first right-wing blog reports (which picked up on the comments from a review in a British newspaper) to organised burnings of their CDs, lowered concert attendances and the ensuing boycott of their records. Aside from the scary, McCarthy-like conditions of modern America, this is a depressing insight into the machinery of modern-day pop stardom, where artists are expected to avoid engaging with the world around them for fear of offending sponsors and record company execs. To their credit, the band remain unrepentant, though Maines does look disappointed when President Bush says the Dixie Chicks can say whatever they want.

Fact is the Chicks disrespected our President in a time of war in another country...I do not give a shiot who the President is, that crap is wrong...They deserve all the negativity that surrounds them now....
