Ok, folks, we are going to have some fun.
The theme will be funny or fun things
The categories are
Animal
Vegetable
Mineral
All entried will need to be posted by 8pm, Tuesday, May 1st. Voting will be for 24hrs ending @ 8pm Wednesday, May 2. The winner will be announced asap after 8pm on May 2
Use your imagination. Get the FUNNEST shots of the categories. If you want to "stage" a shot, that would be great. If you want to use your photo editor, that will be wonderful!
If you want to add a funny caption to your photo to make it funnier, go right ahead. The funnier the better. The only stipulations are to keep it "clean", no porn, obscene photos, and no obscene captions.
They have to be photos that you, yourself take.
Ok, now go change those batteries, and get to clicking. and above all LETS HAVE FUN!! ;D ;D

Do we have to submit all three? Not if you dont want to. It will be more fun if you enter all three categories, but I guess its not a requirement to enter all of them  |

Thanks Tinkerbell. Most of my photography is urban and architectural, so having to shoot other objects will be a new and interesting challenge for me.
Oh, and what is the cutoff date for submissions?

IMO will have to set that up to suit her schedule.
Here are the rules: (copied and pasted)
ATalk Photo Contest
Entries must be submitted by the original photographer. An individual may submit only one photo per category per contest. Photos may be touched up using Photoshop. Photos must be appropriate for posting on a public website. Obscene, provocative or otherwise questionable content will not be allowed. The winner of the weekly contest will be in charge of the next weeks contest. A substitute may fill in if the winner is unavailable. The winner may also select the best day/time the contest is over to fit their schedule. Get those cameras out and lets get started. Have fun!

IMO will have to set that up to suit her schedule. OOOps Sorry I forgot to set the schedule, THANKS tinkerbell for reminding me. What does everyone think about getting this back to where it will end on a saturday nite, and voting taking place for 24 hrs ending Sunday evening. If that will work out for everyone, this might have to be a "longer than usual contest, cut off time at 9pm May 5th. How does that sound to everyone? |

That is fine. We just set the time being up to the winner because for some it might not work on the weekend or vise versa week. So how is best fits your schedule is fine. Congrats on your win!

Well, since its getting warmer and the days are getting longer, people might want to be gone on the weekend, maybe we need to keep this to where it ends during the week. Ok we will keep this on the same schedule to end during the week and not on the weekend. I will go back and add the times to my original post. |

IMO Sounds great! I myself slacked off on the TA contest because the weekends are so busy!
The only topic I am worried about is the veggie one that could get dangerous! LMAO
