Isn't there a Grand Central Station in Amarillo?

It's called Graham Central Station, but I'm not sure what's going on with it right now since Western Plaza is being torn down.

So where did you go and what kind of music do they play? Some of us more mature folks like to dance, too!

I think it was sometime in 1993. I met my ex-husband there in 1992. We got married in 1994. I turned 21 that summer and it shut down before I was ever legally allowed to drink in there...so it was eithr 1993 or 1994. Sneakers also closed down before I could legally drink there. But we were good people and didn't illegally drink back then.....did we ;D I also miss Terminal State, wasn't that in the old sneakers place after sneakers? Also miss Open Mind, Velocity.. There's some new place on Polk next to what use to be Velocity, but drinks are to expensive......WAY to expensive..... I believe that place is called Zodiac's. The owner is a guy named Oscar, or OC as he's known to his friends, and he also owns Bodega's as well. The reason he charges more for drinks is because he doesn't the lowlifes to migrate over there from the other places like Graham's and the Pirranha Room at the Midnight Rodeo. The problem with dance clubs in Amarillo is that the trash tends to ruin it for everyone else. It is usually the 20-something guys with no higher education that think they're really tough. They end up picking fights in these clubs to impress their loser friends, things escalate, and before you know it there are shootings and decent people no longer want to congregate in these places.

Oscar Gamboa owns La Chateau, another popular night spot on Polk. Nice place, but the drinks are expensive. An advantage to it is that you don't get the riff-raff that GCS has, believe me, one shooting is too many for my heart to handle.

He's one of the funniest guys I have ever met. Now what is he calling the new place? Some of the things that guy comes up with!!! ;D Is Frenzy still spinning down there?
