The back-water, close-minded, bigoted, uneducated attitudes of most of the people here. and no, that's not a slam any any specific person on this forum. Just a general observation.

The lack of high paying technical jobs for our kids, but maybe our cost of living will not be what it is if we had a lot of thoes jobs.

Amarillo should have more and better concerts! Yes, and other entertainment too. How about that mostly empty AGN Center?

Oh, and how can we be located where we are geographically and not have more work and growth? Self-limiting power hungry status-holders, not wanting anyone "bigger" than they are in town?

Oh, and how can we be located where we are geographically and not have more work and growth? Self-limiting power hungry status-holders, not wanting anyone "bigger" than they are in town? www.amarillo.com/stories/032008/new_99092792.shtmlWeb-posted Thursday, March 20, 2008 City votes three to AEDC board City commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to send three newcomers to the Amarillo Economic Development Corp. board. The vote approved Kim Gaynor, Walter Price and Cliff Bickerstaff to serve staggered terms to be determined by AEDC. The departing directors are Paul Borchardt, who served since 2003; Rick Crawford, who began in 2005; and Bob Williams whose first term began in 2001. - Globe-News staff www.amarilloedc.com/Home › About Amarillo EDC Board of DirectorsSince 1989, the Amarillo EDC has been governed by a five-member board. Board members are appointed by the Amarillo City Commission and commit to serving three-year terms. The current Amarillo EDC Board of Directors are: Brad Martin Chairman Eddie Bradley Vice Chairman/Secretary << Auto dealership owner Cliff Bickerstaff Director << Ware family/Amarillo National Bank employeeWalter “Four” Price, IV Director Kim Gaynor Director Anyone have any information on the other AEDC board members? The one I question the most...is the ANB employee...since that is the largest family-owned business left in Amarillo.

Oh, and how can we be located where we are geographically and not have more work and growth? Self-limiting power hungry status-holders, not wanting anyone "bigger" than they are in town? Of course it wouldn't be complete without the Amarillo Globe News publisher...Les Simpson... who covers for the AEDC and the leaders of Amarillo... and prints only what they want him to publish... and who will never question or investigate what the AEDC or leaders of Amarillo do. He controls the number one source of information in the entire Panhandle... what information you hear...and what information you don't hear. The AEDC and the Globe News are not being honest by keeping the business ties of the AEDC board members a secret and under cover.I wonder if the AEDC is violating any government information laws by not disclosing that information...
