in Amarillo?
I have an anniversary coming up, and I'd like to try something new, maybe different.
Any ideas?

Have someone watch the kids. Fly to Dallas. Go to Fogo De Chaos. Get a nice place to stay the night. Fly home next day.

That's a good suggestion, except we need to stay here this weekend.
So ....

Guess what! Nothing here. Send kids away and plan a romantic night of cooking together.

What about Cafe Bella... I think is the name.... haven't been there but from the write ups...they seem to be trying to create that kind of atmosphere.... I think they were trying to go reservation only.

That's an idea. I'll check into that.
Rick, our kids are not with us this weekend. It's a rare time alone. I don't know if I'm the only woman who feels this way, but the reason I don't go for the cooking at home thing is that even though he is the chef, and excellent, the clean-up factor always wipes me out. I hate that part, so I don't even want to mess with it. Otherwise, that's a good idea, too.
I haven't been to Randy's since it moved downtown, in the evening. Carolina's is an option. There's Antonio's, too. Maybe Pacific Rim? Never been there. Lincoln's is an option. Haven't been to Macaroni Joe's under new ownership, but y'all have pretty much blasted them in another thread ... Zen is good, too.
What do you think?

McDonalds. Make sure to get that booth in the back by the restrooms so you can see the guys coming out while still zipping and buckling, with the sound of flushing in the background.
See, it's a diet plan and anniversary dinner all rolled into one! ;D
Or, I guess you could go somewhere nice if you're into that sort of thing.

Our anniversary is in a few days. Hubby has already planning a special campfire dinner for us. I hope he makes an apricot cobbler and sourdough bread. He is a fabulous cast-iron camp cook ;D

Then maybe we can go to Medi-Park and "park" in the backseat of the car. LOL! IMO -- what day is your anniversary? Maybe it's the same as mine? (July 5)
