I have been working on a major project for my company for a while now with only intermittent time at home. I have missed a lot of what has been going on first hand, but I sure have seen and heard enough.
My thoughts??? Man, that may take a while.
The short version? I agree - we need to clean house. I also think the place to start is Carver Center. Athletics are a joke and we are using these same clowns to teach the next generation in academics also? Not a good plan.
The latest incident involving a coach is a perfect example of what we have to deal with. We are letting these phsycos teach?
We have another coach using the f word on a regular basis towards his players and umpires and the AD apparently covers it up. Then one of his players uses the same word at school towards one of the teachers and he gets suspended for 2 weeks. Justice? I agree with the discipline of the student, but what about the coach calling the umpire "a f____n idiot". Why was there no discipline in that issue? I could go on and on - but we all know the story.
Pampa has a lot of problems and I do not see an end to it. Only more incidents as it spirals out of control.

By the way - Good Luck to the girls softball this weekend.
At least we have one coach that tries to put a winning team on the field.

Last year on senior day Pampa was getting beat by Hereford. Coach went out and argued a call with the ump. On the way back to the dugout he said "what a f____n idiot". He was still mostly talking to himself, but loud enough that I could hear it standing at the edge of the bleachers. Several people along first base fence heard it. I would of thought that the ump had to of heard it, but maybe not. The man I was talking to, turned and looked at me and asked "did he just say what I thought he said?", so he heard it too. I know the AD got at least 2 phone calls over that. One lady said she was there to see a friends son play on senior day, but after that and what all else she heard come out of the dugout during the game that she would never go to another Harvester game as long as he was coach.

Pampa 7, Bushland 6
Palo Duro 5, Pampa 2
Beat Bushland by 1 - lose to PD for 2nd time in history and in consecutive years no less.
New year but s o s.
What a shame because again there are some really good kids on this team. From reading the line scores I take it that neither of the twins are playing this year? He finally succeed in running them off I guess?

So I take it that you are still dissatisfied with the state of Harvester sports?
Or just baseball over there?
This topic was dead for quite a while....

I would say that being dissatisfied with the state of the sports program here is a pretty fair statement. You have noticed the results of our sports endeavors lately havent you?
We have too many kids quitting the sports programs. That tells me there are other issues at work. It is pretty easy to sit on the sideline and pick out a lot of the main problems.
I will give the girls softball coach a thumbs up. She may play her favorites to a small degree, but she puts a well prepared team on the field and makes good game decisions. I see them hanging another 10 on their undefeated district streak.
The rest of our programs? The potential talent is there to make respectable showings, just not going to happen.
This whole board has been dead. Not sure where everyone went. I just look in every week or so to read some of the political banter and see if anything changes here.

it seems i missed a dandy on tuesday...not a good day to be a pitcher apparently congrats to mitchell kilgo on a great day
i did however catch the girls game on monday. That interference call was definately a factor of the outcome of that game...had the umpire made the right call the game would have ended much differently

Yes, that turned into quite a slugfest. We definitely have some kids that can hit.
I did not get to see the girls game, but sure have heard a lot about it. Sounds like quite a controversey.
So did you catch Fridays game? Sounds like it should of brought back some old memories.
