only one week until scrimmages start up.......hooray!....also, hearing good things from Bobcat land in Sunray. Keep up the good work over there! sj- I think Panhandle wil be fine, Bushland not quite as fierce as last year but should be playoff calibur football team no doubt. How many did Canadian lose to graduation?

Rocket, Canadian graduated some good players but their program is so stable they will just reload. I have been told all their receivers are back. They have two talented Q-backs ready to step in as replacement for their graduated all-stater.
Their district with Sunray and Stratford will one of the toughest 1A district in the state. IMO, two state champions could come out of that district. Notice the emphasis on could.
I read on another message board, Stratford and Sundown are going to square off in Kimbrough Saturday, September 6th at 2 p.m. That game should be worth the price of admission and gas.

Rocket, I have heard some folks say, they think Sunray may be a little stronger than Stratford this year.

Won't be long the Amarillo paper will come out with their football edition. I am anxious to see it.
Guys, how about before the season starts some predictions or maybe some things to watch for during this season. By predictions...maybe some district races...any classification.
Dang, I'm ready for kickoff.

Rocket, Maud is a few miles west by south from Texarkana. It has a total of 474 students PK-12. They are known as the Cardinals and their colors are red and white.
The City of Maud has 1028 residents.
Some have doubts Maud should be ranked one. They feel a top 15 is more in order.
