Washburn soman adopts daughter on anniversary of own adoption
The adoption of 2-year-old Anna-Maria Martin had to be Friday. It just had to be. "When we realized it was my special day and it was the National Day of Adoption, we just decided we had to get it done today," Martin said. So they did. Anna-Maria, the little girl with big brown eyes and curly hair, joined 19 other children who had waited, many for years, to become part of a permanent family.

It's a sad fact that complaints about the Amarillo Globe News are ignored.
But the more advertising dollar$ you spend with them...the more likely it is that LESS Simpson might actually listen to your comments.
The little guys who do the AGN website...actually think it's funny when they mess up.
And it's almost certain that Les Simpson hasn't looked at the fugly AGN website in a LONG time.
I've worked at some jobs where a few people thought they were too important to touch a keyboard or ever look at a computer screen...and I think Simpson is that type of person at the Globe News.

They went WAY too far last week with their "catchy" little headline on an article about an accident that claimed the live of a young lady and her baby girl. They obviously have hired punk @ss kids to come up with their content. Pitiful..... and those that came up with and approved the headline should be ashamed of themselves as humans.

They did it again today, announcing the FOURTY-five year JFK anniversary. I use that as a reference to people for about how old I am. My mom was very pregnant with me....and about ready to hatch me...when all that happened.... My dad said the local air force base where my folks were living...pretty well went nuts that day...because the military wasn't sure if it might be the prelude to a Russian attack.

I wasn't born yet. 3 yrs. before my time. One of my sis-in-laws was born that day, though.

Just like this headline:
AGN wants to know Give us your feedback on stories the Globe-News is pursuing.
Then you go to the article and you get this:
Do you know of a military family that's reunited for Thanksgiving and the rest of the holiday season? The Globe-News wants to know about families long separated by military commitments abroad, but are now back together in time for the holidays.
If you have a story to share with us, send by email to newsroomfb@amarillo.com or by clicking HERE:
Isn't "feedback" and "story to share" two totally different things?

That's being too lazy to do their own reporting....
And they just had an article Thursday about the Globe News laying off 20 people....
Says the AGN still employs 200+ people...but I bet most of those are production and distribution employees...and not people who do writing or reporting.

Maybe many years ago.....
Some of the columnists are good...a couple anyway.... but they have sucked at reporting news for years,
