My Garmin gets me anywhere I need to go. The s/o and I drove all the way from Amarillo to Knoxville, TN and then on to Asheville, NC before turning around and coming back. All I had to do was type in the name of the next Wal-Mart, Sam's Club or K-Mart and it took me right there. Made reservations wherever we wanted to stop next on the I-Pad. These digital toys are slick!
The wife and I stayed in LBB a couple of weeks back and went to the Llano winery. I used to work for a beer & wine distributor and with what little wine knowledge I have, I'm afraid I created a monster in my wifey pegs as she has now developed a passion for acquiring wine knowledge. So, we left there a hundred or so dollars poorer. We tried an Indian restaurant on 80th st. that one of our contractors recommended and we both liked it. I am jealous of the selection of restaurants on the south side of town.

They have really built up the south side of town. There are quite a few really good restaurants out that way.

Lubbock is currently doing a much better job of building their town than Amarillo is doing.

one of the best things we like down here is how easy it is to navigate around the town. Like I-40 is a dream , the access roads are great. Up in Evansville, Ind it's called "stoplight city" you just go from stoplight to stoplight it's horrible. Down here you can travel faster too. On the freeways up there the speed limit is like 55 and some side roads are 45 ! ridiculous. When I get out on soncy/FM2590 going back home I can let the horses loose at 70. Now, that's what I'm talking about !!!!!!!!!! ROFL
