She has looked stressed and very unhappy.... I have also wondered about her health and wish her the best.

From the channel 10 news website.
4.13.07 Kari King Says Good Bye
After nearly two decades of coming into your home I am saying good bye to NewsChannel 10 and this fabulous region. I have had an opportunity to work for a great station in Oklahoma City.
I have to say that it has been my privilege to serve you all of these years. I say that because I truly believe being a journalist is public service.
My experience here started as a weekend anchor in July of 1988. I worked my way up to being a crime reporter, political reporter and main anchor. I then became executive producer while continuing to anchor.
I then had the chance to become the News Director in 2001 and it was a very challenging proposition, but one I tackled. I tried my very best to be ethical, honest, fair and diligent.
I have grown with this station. We have seen bad times, hard times and absolutely fabulous times. I wouldn't trade any of it because it helped mold me.
I would like to thank each of you for welcoming me into your homes here in Amarillo, Guymon, Hereford, Childress, Clarendon, Clovis, Portales, Dalhart, Dumas, Borger, Clayton, Wheeler and Shamrock. I left out so many, and I apologize, but of course every other community and place in between, my thanks.
I have covered presidents to governors as well as difficult crime stories to fun stories, such as the circus coming to town to a dinosaur exhibit at the Don Harrington Discovery Center, and all kinds of news in between.
I would like to thank the general manager, Brent McClure for his support and vision. He is really good for this station and our community.
I would also like to thank the former general manager, Mike Lee, for believing in me for many, many years.
I would like to especially thank Walt Howard for hiring a wide-eyed, long-haired early twenty-something, and giving her the chance to become a journalist. Without you I wouldn't have been able to sit in the anchor chair and become a responsible journalist. You made my dream job a reality. You have been the model of high standards and ethics. I appreciate you.
To Tim Cato a huge thank you for being my friend all these years and colleague. Tim is the Promotions Director at the station.
I want to thank the news staff for their hard work, loyalty and support. They are terrific.
Every person in the station is important to me. Without the many employees I couldn't have done or accomplished anything during my career. I'm the one who is honored to be part of their team. I thank them.
And I thank you. Without you we wouldn't be successful. Even though I'm moving out of state, my birth certificate will always say I was born here in the panhandle, something I've always been proud to say.
Thank you again for welcoming me and this team into your homes. We appreciate you.
I also want to thank the people who made my life difficult over these nineteen years. Those trials made me a stronger person. Again, I will miss you. I will miss NewsChannel 10.
Thank you for making me part of your day.

Sure, the Telethon might have been just part of her job, but her humbleness about that project is nice. She has my admiration for that project. Good luck in other endeavors lady.
