I know there have been a lot of head coaching changes for next year.
What are your thoughts on the new coaches and will there be any surprises in the districts?

Yeah there are so many changes its hard to keep up. I have heard a ton of positives form under classmen at Caprock about how things are going there. We even have some big changes at 6 Man.

Anybody hear if Panhandle has found them a head football coach? It's been pretty quite SJ but rumor has it Eddie Metcalf was offered the job and accepted but then turned around and declined it a day or so later (reasons unknown).

I heard another applicant turned down the Panhandle job. What gives here? Why apply/interview and then turn it down when offered? Wonder what the reasons have been....

A friend of mine suggested that Panhandle adopt a radical, new coaching concept. It is call "Fan-in-the-stands-coach-of-the-week."
Each week, a fan is selected by some means from the stands to be the teams coach for that one week period. Although recieving no pay, that individual must have the team ready with game plan and the bus full of fuel if it is needed.
In case the team makes the play-offs, an elimination round of Texas Hold'em will be played to see whicn "Fan-in-the-stands-coach-of-the-week" gets to guide the team through the play-offs.
I thought this is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard...BUT, after you think about it........

Every game I have ever been too has dads in the stands that know more than the coach. I hear them yelling that throughout the game. So, with all these smarta$$ fans as coaches, the team would have to make the play offs. ;D ;D
