Evidently the word is Kyle Busch, rumor has it Kyle has requested to be released from his contract. Kinda make you wonder whats going on if its true because why would you want to leave such a dominate organization.

On Busch leaving, I doubt it was of his own accord. I think it is more likely that Hendricks let him say it was his idea so it would ease his transition to another team. Kyle is costing the team too much in equipment and such. It may even have been that the decision of who to cut to make room for Junior was decided when Mears happened to win at the very moment his job was put on the line.

Jr. did look happy. Said the contract is for 5 years. I know he will do good with HMS......

Well lets see if Kyle goes to DEI then they could trade numbers! That would be cool! I think Hendrick will help Jr get a trophey!

I do not see it being a "trade" for numbers. If HMS wants the 8 they will pay for it.
I will place bets now that Busch goes to Penske and races with his brother as a teamate. Penske has been reported to be starting another team.
Also I wonder truly what attraction DEI will have to seasoned drivers with Jr.s departure.
