How was your day?
I ask this question , "How was your day"? because I just had a thought about a day I had not to long ago. It was on a Friday, and as I was walking to work in the cool morning air a black cat crossed my path. Now I usually see cats from time to time, but this cat being black made an impression on my mind at that moment. As soon as I walked into my office the phone was ringing.........it was my preacher, he said he saw my truck by the Pink Panther Bar the night-before-last, and I better be sure to be in church on Sunday, he wanted to discuss something with me. After my conversation with the preacher I went outside to get a breath of fresh air and I walked under a ladder. This ladder had never been there before, but this day it was. When I went back inside the darn phone was ringing off the wall once again......It was my banker. He said I was six months behind on my truck payment and if I didn't get caught up by 3:00 closing time he was going to have it picked up and impounded. I had to go to the bathroom at that point and thought I better comb my hair, while staring at myself in the mirror the darn mirror fell on the floor, busted in hundreds of pieces. It wasn't but a few minutes when my physic called and she said I was going to have seven more years of bad luck. As I went to my desk I noticed the calendar on the wall, it showed that it was Friday the 13th. Ah, that is the reason for all this bad luck I thought to myself. It isn't going to happen to me again though. I have made myself some rules. I am going to take another route to work from now on, I am going to have all ladders banned, all mirrors will be glued to the wall, and all Fridays I will stay home, all thirteen’s on the calendar will be marked in red.
