The damage from storms in the country continues to mount. Even last night another irrigation center pivot was lost. It is estimated in the past few days that when all is counted 100-150 center pivots from Lubbock to Dalhart and Friona to Wellington will have been destroyed or damaged. Center pivots varying in size and costs. The smaller cost around $50,000-$65,000 and the larger $130,000-$155,000. Let's pick the number of 125 to be in the middle and each of those average $75,000 to repair or replace. I think this is conservative. The repair/replacement cost would be $9.375 million. Haven't seen any of this in the press...

My family has a big pivot sprinkler on our land...but have never had any trouble with it...knock on wood!
It's cool to look at...in the satellite photos.
We like our farming tenant...and would have file the insurance claim...and fix it.
