I have always thought our downtown area was unappealing, but looking at your pictures, I caught myself thinking, that's a place I'd like to see. Funny how you don't see the pretty qualities of things you see everyday, until you see them through someone else's eyes.

Seeing the Paramount sign back where it belongs gives me a good feeling. Now if it becomes the same movie theater it once was.........................

Nice photos. The one photo with the horizontal power lines in the foreground and the vertical lines of the windows of the building in the background make for an interestng effect of the two planes. I am going to pick up the user manual for my Nikon D70 and get to know it better. I used to dabble with photography but as of late I have just been using it for family photos and such.
There is (or was) a photographer out in NYC who made his living by selling photos of the Statue of Liberty. He has photographed it from every conceivable angle.

Nice photos. I am going to pick up the user manual for my Nikon D70 and get to know it better. Thanks guys. I use a D70 myself. I've only had it for about 4 months, so I'm still learning all if it's features.

Jeeper, great photos! Makes me "homesick" for the way Amarillo used to be. It's been way too long since I've been in downtown - I'll have to make sure and go there the next time I'm in Amarillo. Thanks so much for sharing these!
