This was interesting:
(Washington, D.C.) The remains of two Air Force pilots from Texas listed as missing after an air mission in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War have finally come home. The Department of Defense said today that the remains of lieutenant colonels Charles W. Stratton of Dallas and James H. Ayres of Pampa, Gray County, have been identified and returned to family. The two were reported missing after the F-4E Phantom aircraft they were piloting exploded during a nighttime strike in Savannakhet Province in Laos in June 1971. Hostile activity in the area reportedly prevented search and rescue attempts at the time. Stratton's burial date is being set by his family. Ayres will be buried August 10 in Pampa, military officials said.
