Gas is cheaper in Silverton than Amarillo. I think there is price fixing going on in Amarillo, with the wholesalers.

I haven't quite decided what I think ... I need to read a little more closely before I say anything.

More like price gouging. On the news yesterday gas was up to the average of 2.75 and Mitchell's, I mean Amarillo's gas was average of 2.99+. Papa needs a new store and another vacation home.

LOL! I can see the AGN's story isn't doing its intended job ... You got it... Mitchell is an AGN advertiser...and the AGN and Less Simpson apparently have their lips plastered on Greg and Dave Johnson's butts. Come on AGN....let's see how much blame we can direct away from Mitchell and Toot-N-Totum. Geez....Less Simpson and the AGN refuse to do real journalism...and investigate. Let's see.....the AGN has protected and covered things up....at Boys Ranch and WTAMU and the AEDC and now Toot-N-Totum. BTW....isn't it a fact that Mitchell is his own gas wholesaler? Who owns Davidson?

The article brought up the fact that Lubbock has lower gas prices...because it has many more places to buy gas...per capita...than Amarillo does.
But...the article completely ignored the fact that Mitchell's competitive and monopolistic tactics are why Amarillo has fewer places to buy gas.
The AGN should have done some investigative research into how many competitors Mitchell has bought up in Amarillo...just so he could shut them down.
Mitchell is still the reason Amarillo has the highest gas prices.
Mitchell shuts down competitors...and he is a gas wholesaler himself.
Did the AGN have the guts to say that...obviously not.

Kerrville had gas for $2.55 this weekend. They shouldn't be that much cheaper than Amarillo!

He knows how much it would take for us to go somewhere else to get cheaper gas and jacks up the wholesale prices just enough that we are stuck here buying HIS gas. It's shrewd business for sure and he has every right to profit from his practices. We just gotta pay him for our gas regardless where we buy it here in Amarillo-land.

Mitchell is not a gas wholesaler. He does not own Davidson Oil.
