Please be sober when you do!

A drunken report might be much more entertaining to those who would read it.

Editor and I are going to try it out sometime this evening. He's more of a wine person than I am, but I really like the idea of having a more upscale place to go sometimes.

A drunken report may look like something I wrote.

I already posted this on another forum, but for the sake of saving time, I'm just copying it over to here, too.
We went to Vineyard Wines last night, where we met another couple and spent the next four hours drinking and talking. We had a great time.
The owners, Dwayne and Maryjane Westmoreland, were there and are extremely friendly and gracious. Their presence, plus the decor and soft music created an intimate atmosphere for people to gather and just enjoy each other's company.
The atmosphere reminded me of a cool little bar you might go to in Santa Fe, NM.
For those who don't do wine, they also have a huge selection of beer. They served us fruit, cheese and crackers (not for free, of course), but at our request because we were there so long. (And by the end of the night, I needed a Diet Coke, so I had one of those, too!)
There was a steady stream of people beginning at about 6 p.m., although they open at 4 each day. Toward the end of the evening, a man named Moses played live music, which was very good.
I guess one thing I really appreciated was that it was not too noisy to carry on a conversation, but it wasn't so quiet that everyone could hear everyone else's conversations.
I will most definitely be going back.
