I don't go in the Taylor's on Coulter every day...
but the last few times I've been in there...the kids working don't appear to be carding everyone they should be.
I just go in and refill my plastic Toot-N-Totum fountain coke cup...
But while waiting to pay...every time I've been in there lately...
I've seen some VERY borderline kids buying beer without being carded at all.
I thought the law said they were supposed to card everyone under a certain age in stores.
If so...they are taking a very big risk...and all it will take is one off-duty cop buying a coke like I do...and some young Taylor's employees will get their ass busted.
I can remember well from when I was in high school...and the drinking age was still 18...that Borger was the underage drinking capital of the Panhandle...and everyone around drove to Borger...because none of the places there would card.
Bacl then...you didn't even have to drive all the way up the hill into Borger...because you could get your stuff at the C&W convenience store out south of the Canadian River bridge.
If they have camera tape going in Taylor's...they could even run that back...and nail them for not carding.

I'm 33 now, but that exact Taylor's just happens to be the place that sold me the most beer in high school. So, I have to say I'm not surprised. That intersection was popular... beer in the evening and taquitos in the wee early morning hours under the supervision of the notorious WhataCop!

I didn't grow up in Amarillo...but I think that show moved to 45th and Western...
Where you can sometimes even see the sheriff's dept patrolling that Sonic west of Teckla.
Growing up north of here...for our bunch...it was Borger or Hardesty, OK...on the state line.
34th and Coulter hasn't been that busy in a long time...and is usually pretty dead after 9pm or so.

Let TABC know. Hell they work that area at least used to once.

The stuff I've seen lately in that Taylor's would get them fired in an instant at Toot-N-Totum.
I think TNT would even have problems with the general appearance and cleanliness of the Taylor's employees.
