Noticed Friday night that a new (what I thought was a restaurant) had gone in the east end of Jesse Quackenbush's building on Olsen. This is the old Harrigans/Santa Fe restaurant building...building where JQ now uses the west end for his office. Well...early Saturday evening (last night)...I drove by and pulled up in the parking lot to read a sign put up on the wall to the left of the entrance doors... and it read.... Cinco Rosas Productions Independent Film Studio.So...the BIG question is...what does anyone know about this?Is this a Jesse venture....or is he hopefully just renting space to someone. I thought it was weird...and during the time I was pulled up in the parking lot...which was full of cars and SUV's...people were coming and going...just like it was a restaurant. But...there were still quite a few cars in the parking LOT...very late last night. Just seems like a very odd...and too small place to be a film studio...unless it's just office space. I sure hope JQ doesn't now see himself as a film producer.  Excuse me for being sarcastic...but his last venture...the failed Santa Fe restaurant...sank like a rock. Cinco Rosas....The 5 Rosas? |

Jesse hosted a wedding party on Saturday night. He also is producing some video which he plans to show at Austin Film festival.

Jesse hosted a wedding party on Saturday night. He also is producing some video which he plans to show at Austin Film festival. Yes, there was a private party which I was a bartender to. And yes, it was a wedding reception. And yes, Jesse is making a documentary, although that 'Cincos rosas' has already been in for OVER A YEAR and that Jesse did NOT HAVE THE LAST SANTA FE restaurant. Get your facts straight, people before attacking someone. And yes, I mean you west-texan. That's the thing about small town losers that want to gossip about everything. You will be found out and you will be corrected!! |
