Sitting in the turn lane at the light at 34th and Coulter at 5:15 today... I counted 5 idiots that ran the light all at once. It's a wonder these f@gots aren't killing someone every day.

BTW...if I ever become politically correct...please shoot me! I get tired of a light going green...and I've got to wait for all the stupid light-runners to clear out of the intersection...before I can go.

Way to much PC in the world today anyway. Just making an observation based on recent news stories!

Based on the response...or lack of response...about this dangerous traffic problem... Am I correct in assuming that most of those on this board...are running red lights? So...would you people mind if they installed red light cameras? It's getting to the point where you are taking your life in your own hands...if you go as soon as the light goes green at some intersections...because of the red light runners.

They installed red light cameras in Lubbock and rear end collisions increased dramatically. Other types of wrecks have not changed significantly.

I have lived here 7 yearsand continue to be amazed at the a-holes who run red lights making left turns. I was at an intersection and got the green light and proceeded out into the intersection slowly and when I got almost halfway out some effin' mouth breathing mongoloid who looked like the product of cracked sperm cells cut me off with a left turn against a red light. Man some times I would like to have a .50 caliber machine gun mounted to my vehicle.
I remember one time whn some jerk cut me off with a left turn whn I had the right of way. I ended up following him to the same destination - Best Buy. It was late and the parking lot was mostly empty. The car had a handicapped parking permit hanging from the rearview mirror, and I was flabbergasted that the car darted into a handicapped spot and out jumps a young 20 something healthy as a horse and just as smart and proceeded into the store. I sat there and shook my head that some twit HAD to park in a handicapped spot just because he had a permit that siad he could. He could have parked one space over and walked about four extra steps, but there was just something about the power of that parking permit that he HAD to park in the handicapped spot. I just shook my head in bewilderment.

WT, I wasn't disagreeing with the point you made in your OP. Running red lights is a bad thing, no doubt.
I just didn't want to look past your use of the derogatory f-word. Who gives a crud about PC? Not me. I just think it's a yucky word. Ranks right up there with the n-word, in my opinion.
So, there!

If you think it is bad in Amarillo, you should see what it is like in Denver, Seattle, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Dallas. Amarillo is actually pretty mild in comparison. They have the cameras at the intersections in at least 2 of those places and it doesn't make a bit of difference. In addition, they have bumper to bumper traffic and the road rage in those places is off the charts. I have absolutely no problems with the traffic here because I have seen so much worse. If I was going to complain about anything, it would be the manner in which they maintain the roads around here. The major roads are pretty bad. I'm glad to see they finally got around to repaving Hillside, but there are so many more that need attention. Don't even get me started on the half-assed method they use for repaving the residential streets. Seriously, gravel on top of tar has left my various vehicles with enough cracked wind shields and ruined paint jobs over the years to really hack me off.
