My husband is going to die or be relieved if he sees this thread. Seriously, even though it's just the two of us, I can't keep up with the housework. I really only need someone a couple hours a week to vaccuum, mop and clean windows. Any suggestions?

I know of a couple of maid services in town...
But you might not like that...
Because I doubt they can guarantee you will always get the same people cleaning your place every time.

Okay, the husband MUST have read your replies because when I got home late from work again tonight, he had cleaned all the mirrors in the bathroom and all the outside windows off our side patio. The reality here is that I'm the slacker!

We have a couple of ladies that come in every week, since we both work and have the kind of jobs where we don't want to spend our spare time, what little there is, doing housework, so it is money well spent. We have a couple of good ones, but I don't know if they have any openings for new customers. I'll ask them.

Suggestion, when done with something put it back, clean it right them, or throw it away.............I told my wife I'm gonna put up signs everywhere that states "PIBWIB", she immediately said, "Yeah, "Put it back where it belongs!" Funny, JERK!" She, and our daughters, is bad about leaving things where she finished using (whatever it was) constantly asking "Where did I leave______?" or "Where did you put _______?" I'd say to her, "Where did you finish using it?" The phone is always misplaced, her purse is everywhere except hanging on the rack I built so she had somewhere to put it, she's asking where the remote is, and gets upset with me because I put all my stuff in my 'shave kit' which is a tackle box with compartments to keep all my stuff including shampoo, toothpaste, shaving stuff, and anything I need for emergency.
Also, when your laundry basket gets almost full wash clothes right then, don't wait until you can't find something to wear and dig through the piles of clothes, plus you don't spend your weekends washing loads of clothes.
