Not even officially spring...and our resident A-hole gas monopolist is already at $3.15. So what are spring and summer going to bring for those in Toot-N-Totum town AKA Amarillo? Since I just bought gas for $3.04 at Wal-Mart on Coulter...that means Mitchell is being a jerk and price-gouging. I think $3.15 may be the highest I've ever seen in Amarillo for regular unleaded gas. Also...are wages for people in Amarillo keeping up with our increased cost of living? Again...you suck Greg Mitchell.

In May of last year it briefly hit 3.39 a gallon....on the day my daughter got married. The out-of-town guests all commented that they have never seen gas that high, even in California. I believe some TV stations ran a story about gas prices, and suddenly the prices dropped 30 cents a gallon after all the negative critisism the media gave the convienence stores.

Did they go up the same day that plant exploded? I seem to recall it did. United near me has 3.04 also.

I was in Amarillo Saturday, and paid 3.07 at at T&T on Bell (I think it was on Bell) . It's better than the 3.28 I paid here Friday!

Because he looked like a complete jerk... Going up the day the refinery exploded...BEFORE it had any chance to impact the gas market prices in any way. Also...I'd love to know if THAT refinery even had anything at all to do with where Mitchell buys his wholesale gas. Does anyone know if the Big Spring refinery has any connection at all to Mitchell's gas supply chain?

Essentially all the Amarillo convenience stores line up with Mitchell as the price leader...with the only difference being at Walmart or Market St United...or the truck stops on the edge of town.
By what the IRS allows for business gas mileage deductions...If you drive more than a couple of miles...you've eaten up any price savings.
No matter where they are...the guys selling gasoline are always greedy sons-of-B-I-T-C-H-E-S...who use any lame excuse for a price increase.
