Anyone know what might be going in there? New bar/club or restaurant?
The front doors were open...and guys were working in there this afternoon.
This is the where the comedy club was before Mayfair was there...and it's on the corner...next to Butler's.
Next time I see the guitar guy...I need to ask him...because he hangs out right in front of this place...and he keeps up with what's going on in that area.
Am I the only who looks around and pays attention while driving in town...or am I the only one running out of non-political things to discuss on the board... ;D

Ummmm, I don't live there. And when I do come to town, which seems to be everytime I turn around, I don't know if something is new or not!

Oh oh oh, I saw a wreck at 45th and Bell last night, WT.

I lived in Lubbock for about a year and a half in the mid-80's...and had been going there to visit friends since the mid-70's...so I can remember the last 2 or 3 things that have been in some buildings there. I go several months between visits down there...but I try to keep up with what's going on. Unless you drive way south...Lubbock doesn't seem like it's changed that much to me.

It hasn't. So there's really no point in visiting. J/K

I went to Amarillo today. There were construction cones on the street, so I'm sure it will be different next time I come. I also pissed a guy in a jeep off...dang on ramps are so short in Amarillo!

Anyone know what might be going in there? New bar/club or restaurant? It's going to be the "Cava Wine Bar & Deli".

Most of Western is 4 lanes...with a center turn lane... And going south down Western almost down to 34th...the right lane is blocked with cones. You can see the cones from WAY off...but all the bozos at 5pm...still don't pay attention to what's ahead. Those who don't pay attention...and don't get in the left lane way back...are piling up in that right lane. The left lane is completely full of traffic...so those in the right lane...are in for a long wait...because they weren't paying attention to what is ahead on the road.

That's cool...and Marizon...just like 2 doors down...is a pretty good place for lunch...and I've gotten some good burgers there. They will be serving sandwiches, panini's and pizza. They will also have expensive wines available by the glass or bottle. It's not going to be very big inside. Davidson Oil owns the building and they have their offices on the second floor. They are expanding into the first floor, so only 1600 sq. ft. of that will be available for the deli, with one third of that devoted to the kitchen area. I don't have any idea what their hours will be.

I noticed again when I was out tonight...and looked in the window here...that they sure look like they are taking their time.
Of course...they took about 6 months to finally get the new Italian place open around the corner.
Walked by and actually saw a guy I know in the Italian place tonight.
