I will NEVER complain about my shoes being too tight again. In some countries small feet are considered to be a sign of great beauty. Now, in China, it is just a memory.

Yeah, that's just as bad as America's obsession with thinness. Just think, maybe someday will be looking at us as if we were completely crazy for what people went through just to be thin.

Don't know about that one, Cat. Americans are the fattest people in the world. In fact, they are most likely the fattest people in the history of humanity. I think we become desensitized to how fat people really are because we see it all the time and become used to it. It becomes readily apparent, however, when travelling overseas just how fat people in this country really are. If an obsession with thinness means gorging one's self every sunday at the Golden Corral and then vegging out on the couch, this must be bizarro world.
