Randy's of Wilderado ... I mean downtown

Randy's has moved downtown to 9th and Polk in the Paramount building. My co-workers and I went yesterday for lunch for our monthly birthday/meeting/get-out-of-prison outing.

I had been at the other location in the evenings, which was wonderful.

Our experience yesterday was really good ... the food, service and atmosphere all made the trip worthwhile. I'm looking forward to going back in the evening sometime soon.

And ... Randy's seems to be the happenin' lunch place right now ... saw lots of people.

If you plan to go, just know it's not inexpensive, but there are things on the menu that are reasonable for lunch. Also, I understand the evening menu is different from the lunch one, with more variety and fru-fru.

I liked the new place, but I was disappointed with the food when I ate there. One of the times I went, the person I ate with said there's was great, but mine was mediocre at best both times. Hopefully they'll work out the kinks. I liked how the tables were spread out enough that you could have a conversation without sharing it with the people next to you.
