When I make starwberry shortcake I do it a little differently because we feed so many people. We have certain family member who tend to take large portions of everything they get so instead of having to cut peices this is how I make it.
1 pound cake cut into bite sized squares (Round cake) 2 large packages of strawberries sliced 3 pints of whipping cream
Beat the whipped cream ( I don't use cool whip the real stuff is better) If you buy the pound cake at United you can use the lid as the bowl and the base as the lid. Just cut or tear into chunks then add strawberries and stir in whipped cream. Let chill in frig.
This is really good and works well to feed allot of people.
