Pepito's is moving into the old El Chico next month. Has anyone eaten at the one in Canyon? Is it any good? If so, what is the thing to get? Is the Canyon one the original, or is it a chain?

Pepitos sucks. Those sorry SOBs can go screw. Why? Well here is the story. Our family used to go weekly to the one in Canyon. One day we brought one 4 piece nuget from McDs so my 2 year old son could eat and be quiet for others around us. For crying out loud we were spending at least $30 a week there. So then as we are paying and leaving Manager/Owner dill wad has the nerve to chew me out about outside food. He knows us well. He could at least let that go. We took our own trash out as well. They did not do any clean up on what was brought in. No risk of contamination to their kitchen at all. Poor judgement decision by their part. Wifey went in and raised major stink about it to. We never have been back.
I personally will NEVER set foot in another one of their crappy outfits. You would do better to stick with other places you are used to. food is not that much better quality any way.

I'm sorry, but I'm not even going to try it. ate at the canyon location one time and it was ho-hum run of the mill average mex-slop.
These small town transplants almost never make it here. Maddies (from borger) is no good. The new Randy's is a total joke, and I'm sure this will be no different.
They should just stay home.

I know the owners of Pepito's very well. I love Pepito's. I think the food is good.
Rick, let me say this. My dad owned a restaurant for 50+ years in Canyon. He did not allow outside food as well. Most restaurants won't allow it. I understand what you are saying and why you did it.
Give Pepito's a try. Every one has different taste.

My experiences at both Randy's have been great, and I will continue to go there.

I know what his wishes where but he could have handled it different. He could have used a way other tone with me. I will stop there before this gets worse.

Rick, I wasn't there so I don't know what happened. And your right, he could have handled it different. I'm sure it was probably Joe. He can be an ass. But I still like the food. I have not personally been to Randy's. My mother and her friends went a few weeks ago. They absolutely hated it. Said the good was horrible. My boss was a frequent guest before Randy's moved. He went last week and said he will never go back. I will never go. Not my kind of place. I won't pay his high prices. I never went to the original Randy's and I haven't been to the new location, so I'm curious about this. Why is it a "total joke?" I have no idea why mustakister would say that.
