I just get back from a trip out west. I stopped at a Cracker Barrel one morning and tried to order the breakfast with the South West link sausage. The waitress said there is no such thing. I say that I get it in Amarillo Cracker Barrel before and she say that they don't have it and never have. She says I must be mistaken as all Cracker Barrel is the same. They only have some nasty smashed one. I know I have this every time I go to the one off I-40. Does anyone know if this is maybe unique to Amarillo or certain area? I was very disappointed as that Southwest Sausage link is the main reason I go there.

Question...are you one of those guys who tries to order without looking at the menu?
Did you leave the menu on the table...and turn around and say I'll take the Southwest link sausage breakfast?
Thinking logically about this...
The next time you are in the Amarillo Cracker Barrel...try looking at the menu...to see if it says Southwest Link Sausage...or does it really say just Link Sausage.
I'm betting the menu in Amarillo...at any other Cracker Barrel actually says Link Sausage...with no Southwest.
You most likely confused the waitress...by saying Southwest...when the menu probably just says Link Sausage...without the Southwest.
To avoid confusion in a restaurant...always look at the menu...before you try to order something.

Going through all the menu options in the left column on the Cracker Barrel website... www.crackerbarrel.com/menu-breakfastmenu.cfm?doc_id=887I can't find anything that says Southwest...or even link sausage...so that must be something they are doing locally in Amarillo. You can get link sausage at IHOP...but it looks like the Amarillo Cracker Barrel may be the only one to have that.

Yes it does. I would rather eat dog food.
