I'm posting this question in three areas so please forgive me.
Can anyone tell me what, if any, restaurants are open Christmas Day? I'm contemplating not cooking for me and two others.

Hmmm. Good question. I don't know, but if I get some clue about it, I'll post.

Those who ate elsewhere for Xmas, where'd you go, and was it any good?

We ate at Furr's in Plainview. It was good, but the best part was getting up and walking away from the dirty dishes. And better yet, NO LEFT OVERS

My dad took me to Furr's on 50th Street in Lubbock. I agree with IMO...no dishes, no leftovers. Oh, and I had Christmas Eve dinner at my son's in-laws and Christmas night dinner at their house also. Again...I had no dishes...and the food was wonderful!

All the adult women in my dad's family...and my mother are excellent cooks...raised in small towns without the fast-food option... so we had the usual big home-cooked country Christmas family dinner...hosted by my uncle and aunt...9 miles out in the country at our family farm. The newer house dates from the mid-70's...but the location is where my dad and uncle grew up...and where 2 of my cousins were raised. Wonder if unkown was scared...because that is very close to where he lives in Tenbucktwo. Got to spend a lot of time visiting with my cousin who lives up by Boulder. My aunt's mother is still ticking along nicely...and she is now the elder one in our family group...and with her and my cousin's 4 kids...there were 4 generations present.
