I am going to cook one tomorrow night. Does anybody have any recipes that they like to use? I am always open to suggestions. I usually cook them in a crock pot. Here is my recipe.
1 Pheasant I then add new potatoes sliced into smaller parts, along with carrots and celery sliced into pieces about 1/2" long. I then place all of the ingredients into a crock pot on low and add 1 beer into the mix. I also add appropriate salt and pepper in addition to a little paprika. I let it cook on low for about 4 hours. When it comes out, it is just awesome.

No, I'm just asking. You put it in there on the bone? I tried making a crock pot pheasant recipe last year and it turned out looking like something Lane Myer's mom would make. I had a bad feeling about mixing bbq sauce and Shiner Bock, but I thought I'd be brave. We walked in and I immediately said we were going out for mexican food.

Yes, I just put the whole thing in there. I have never used any BBQ sauce, and Shiner is too good to waste in a Crock Pot. Usually, I use a Bud tall boy. It's not worth a crap for drinking, but it's not bad for the purpose of cooking.
What setting did you have the crock pot on? I have ruined quite a few things by placing it on high

No, I don't pluck them. I usually just tear the skin off of them in the cleaning process.

If so, you surely have a couple of ring necks lingering about the place somewhere. If you are paying property taxes and feeding those little suckers all year, you deserve a few of them on your table.

Lane Myer's Mom!!!! From one of my favorite movies of all time!!!! "It's got . . raisins in it. You love raisins." I had a buddy that worked on the movie set of "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil". He said John Cusack was the biggest prick you could ever hope to meet in a lifetime. He said Clint Eastwood, Allison Eaastwood, and Kevin Spacey were all really cool, but he said that Cusack was a total a-hole.

He still made 2 of the funniest movies of the 80's. He may be an a-hole because he gets caught in the rain so often.
