It's not a bad place, really. The burgers are not bad at all. I haven't been there in quite a while because it used to get really crowded at lunch time. In addition, I have been trying to eat healthier over the past 1 1/2 year, and that place really doesn't qualify as healthy eating. Every now and then, I will head down to the Home Plate diner, though, because it is nowhere near as crowded as Buns. Of course, the best burgers (with the exception of those cooked on my grill) are served up out at the Lone Star Bar and Grill, out on the Claude Highway. Well if everything makes you mad in Amarillo, then GO BACK TO COLORADO!!! Which every Texan here refers to you guys as "our back yard" even though you Coloradoans hate to admit it........... Still, though..... I was born and raised in the state of Texas. I went to school from K-12 in the AISD and graduated from Tascosa High School in 1992. I'm pretty sure that makes me a Texan, not a Coloradan. I could be wrong, though....

Petiepanzer, whats good at Home Plate? I have always wanted to go there, but my wife had a bad experience there, so I've never been "allowed". I'd also like to ask if anyone has had anything other than the burgers at Buns. Are their ham sandwiches or CFSs anything special? They make a decent burger and the fries are not bad. I have seen the CFS basket and it looked good, but I haven't tried it, so I wouldn't feel right giving it either the thumbs up or down.

And Lubbock is close enough I can easily come down... And kick your booty hard enough...that you'll land in Midland or Odessa... And I know my way around down there halfway to the Permian Basin... Well enough to easily find a person or place...so look out smart ass Lubbock woman! ;D BTW...I've always had good food at Bun...going back almost 20 years...but have yet to try anything other than the burgers and cheese fries. The Buns burgers beat the hell out of the processed patty I got a while back at the Dead Robin.

I'd pay for his dinner and then ask him why he has the cojones to talk smack about TECH on this thread. Of course it all depends because I'd agreed to go down to that flat-ass dirt field called Lubbock with west-texan

Please revisit this thread and point out to me any place that I have injected any Tech smack talk into the conversation. Also, please start from the beginning and tell me where I said anything in this thread about "Amarillo making me angry", you know, before you told me to "go back to Colorado". Please elaborate, or don't.
