Sad to say it is a man's world with mechanical things, a woman's world when it comes to kids, babies, relationships, cooking (except on the grill), laundry, etc, just watch the ads on tv.
Seriously, when a woman takes a car to a shop they look like easy targets. My wife calls me when someone tries to add things to her car. Last month we both went in for oil changes, filter, lube, inspection of fluids, etc, and since we both have 2000 Dodge Durangos they pretty much take the same things. We were both told we needed air filters. I had just checked mine, they didn't pull off the cover, it was new, so I knew mine didn't need changed, and when they said that I just said 'Nothing else.' They didn't realize I was there WITH my wife. The funny thing is, the person checking us out was a woman, but the people working on our vehicles were men.
Now then, when I go into one of the sewing shops I get treated like I'm less than intelligent, most of the time there are women doing that to me.
It goes that way regardless. Now, go to a music/guitar store and ask for a tuner wedge for your son's guitar. There's no such thing, and the rest of the employees will follow you with their eyes trying to figure out how to spoof you too.

Had to drag this back out........
I read this morning that there is a place where I moved from that is refusing to inspect peoples vehicles if they smoke... they were turned into DPS.... that ought to be interesting.

Had to drag this back out........ I read this morning that there is a place where I moved from that is refusing to inspect peoples vehicles if they smoke... they were turned into DPS.... that ought to be interesting. And if it's jiffy Lube they won't tell you that until after they've changed the oil. |

Oops.... maybe I need to clarify.... they won't inspect if the people are smokers.
LOL.... I went by Jiffy Lube on Georgia today and there was a guy standing out by the road with a sign something about having an empty bay... the only thing that would have made it funnier is if he was dressed in a Penzoil bottle costume.
