And again ...
Lubbock plays again Saturday. They've won three in a row. Great Job!
My son is glued to the TV, watching them. He is exactly these boys' age, also a baseball player. Amarillo doesn't have Little League, so teams play in other leagues. He's had a great time watching "local" boys do so well.
We're watching the AZ vs. GA game right now.

Looks like Lubbock and Georgia will be playing. This Georgia team hit several home runs, but the Lubbock pitcher is pretty awesome. It will be interesting to see how well they hit against him ...
Go Lubbock!!

They play today (Saturday) at 2 p.m. ESPN is showing the games. Tune in. It's really cool to see how good 12-year-olds can be.

KVII is showing the game on the ABC network, win or lose, they play tomorrow, too, either in the world series or a consolation game.
I just looked at ESPN and they dont have it scheduled, so the best bet is to watch it on KVII, channel 7 on Dish.
GOOD LUCK GUYS!! YOU MAKE TEXAS PROUD!

Well, the game just ended. I'm sad for the poor Lubbock boys, because they did lose (5-2). Still, they played a hard-fought game and have come so far and did so well. AND, the really bad part was their catcher made this awesome play at home, but it looks like he broke his ankle in the process.
Last I heard, he was getting X-Rays at the hospital. The footage looked like he had to have broken it.
No matter what, I'm proud for them. They did GREAT!

But ya gotta look at it this way, There is ONLY ONE team in the whole USA that is "better" than they are!! They have NOTHING to be ashamed of! They played good clean games and made the entire state of Texas PROUD!!

Absolutely, IMO!! I didn't mean for it to sound any other way. They also conducted themselves like winners after the loss.

I'm thinking it was the pitcher (Zane Ancell) that suffered the injury.
I'm not 100% certain on the spelling of his name.

It was their catcher. Zane is right. Not sure about the last name.

It was the pitcher who got hurt. The catcher lost the pitch and the pitcher ran to home to tag the runner out. The catcher tossed it to the pitcher and the runner was tagged out, but the pitcher got his ankle rolled up in the slide the runner was in. Zane Ancel was the pitcher.
