I thought I had better get this one in early...
A lot of open dates this week. This week's list of fearless forecast will be shorter than normal. Here we go.....
No local 5A games this week.
Pampa - Plainview...Harvesters all the way. Pampa will go into Greg Sherwood Stadium, grab the W and celebrate all the way home.
Perryton - Dumas...Ding Dong Demons from Dumas continue to strut their stuff. The Rangers will find Dumas a little tougher than in the past.
Estacado - Snyder...ever been to Snyder? Where do their football players come from? The football team from the northeast side of Lubbock is going to lose from the team from the middle of nowhere. Snyder with big win.
Stratford - Dalhart...could be the best game in the area this week for the football aficionado. Should be one tough head knocker. Have to get out the 'ol coin on this one...oops, no coin, can you flip a dollar bill? Heads, Stratford...tails, Dalhart ...the paper is in the air....it flutters down with Washington looking up....heads it is. ( I don't feel good about this)
Canyon - Leveland...Canyon will continue their winning ways. Leveland doesn't have either the Lobos or horses to stop them.
Sweethingyer - Borger...Long way from Sweethingyer to Borger...but the Mustangs will have a happy ride home. Sweethingyer wins.
(Anybody have have an idea why someone would want to modify the spelling of Sweet-water? Looks like a big brother thingyer to me....)
River Road - Bushland...it will be a short ride home for the losing Wildcats. Bushland has too much of everything for the Road to enjoy any success.
Highland Park - Muleshoe...women, children and anyone under 17 may not be allowed to watch this slaughter. Thank goodness Coach Wood of Muleshoe is a compassionate man. The Mules in however bad they want it to be.
Tulia - Dimmitt...Dimmitt for the first time in years has a winning record going into district play. Tulia's record is not as good but they are not half bad. Should be a good ball game. I'll have to go with Dimmitt as the home team.
Lubbock Cooper - Shallowater....really, who cares? OK....Cooper should stuff the Mustangs from Shallowater.
Wheeler - Claude...You can't go wrong rooting for the Mustangs...I think you will be on the side of the W if you are rooting for the Wheeler Mustangs.
