Tascosa - Monterey...good match-up. I will go with the home team at Lowery field in a close game. Plainsmen win.
San Angelo Central - Amarillo High...Sandies will have to play good ball to win this one. I think they will. Sandies by a field goal.
Coronado - Lubbock High...however bad Coronado wants it to be...The Mustangs play at an entirely different level than the Westerners.
Caprock - Pampa...Pampa will be a bad host for the Longhorns. Caprock's getting better but are not quite there.
Palo Duro - Hereford...wonder which PD team will make the trip to Hereford? Hereford finds a way to defeat whichever team shows up.
Dumas - Randall...I think this will be a close game...for a while. Rowdy, Rank Randall Raiders ring the Ding, Dong Demons from Dumas' bell.
Dalhart - Brownfield...Wolves were defeated at home last week by the Elks...this week it will be on the road by the Cubs. Bad two weeks for canis lupus, a mammal of the order Carnivora.
Synder - Canyon...I don't know where they get 'em...but they got 'em....good football players in Snyder. Snyder won't score 61 like they did last week but they will score enough...Snyder conquers in Kimbrough.
Borger - Leveland...they deserve each other....Borger is capable but I don't know if they will....OK...they will will...Borger wins battle of dogs....
West Texas High - Panhandle...should be a warm-up for Panthers' game with Stratford the following week.
Stratford - Spearman...Spearman seems to still be struggling to find itself...Stratford knows where it is and what it is doing. Stratford in a convincing win to warm-up for Panhandle.
Canadian - Sanford Fritch...Canadian seems to have gotten the train hooked up with the impressive win over a good Windthorst team. Sanford Fritch is the interesting team in this district. The Eagles could wreck the play-off hopes of any one of the pre-season play-off favorites of District 1-2A on a given Friday night. Could this be the night? I have to pick the Wildcats from Canadian when looking over past records.
Friona - River Road...the Road had better circle the wagons. The Chiefs from Friona will come to town on the warpath. Friona by several.
Bushland - Highland Park...OMG...at least the Hornets won't have to travel far. They will be home for an old fashion butt kickin' the Falcons will bring to 'em. Only odds in Vegas are....will the Falcons let HP score...
Muleshoe - Tulia...Mules continue their march.
Childress - Floydada... some Floydadaians have high expectations for this game....I think the Childressites will prevail....Bobcats blow into town and bite Whirlwinds....
Shallowater - Littlefield...Littlefield wins short and simple.
Sunray - White Deer...this could be an outstanding small school game....easily could be an OT ball game. Flip the 'ol 1899 Siver Dollar on this one...heads for home team..White Deer, tails for visitor, Sunray...coin is in the air.....tails.
Boys Ranch - Gruver...hope Boys Ranch enjoys the scenery on the way to Gruver....that's all they will enjoy.
Memphis - Clarendon...big boys say Memphis is supposed to win this one. Who am I to contradict the big boys...Cyclones win.
Wow, that's enough this week for me.
