Some important games scheduled this week. Games that will have direct bearing on the play-offs. We also have a couple of teams squaring off that one of them will lose its perfect record by winning.
Amarillo High - Coronado...definite play-off implications on this one. Lubbock's Lowery field is usually kind to Coronado. It will be this week...Coronado wins.
Tascosa - San Angelo Central...normally I would pick the home team on this long, long road trip...not this time...by golly, I'm picking the Rebels till they win.
Caprock - Hereford...Hostile Herd of Whitefaces is more hostile than a herd of Longhorns...Hereford wins the cattle bowl.
Palo Duro - Dumas...I think this will be a good game. Dumas dings Dons.
Pampa - Randall...Pampa can't stop Randall from winning district...or this ball game.
Plainview - Estacado...Estacado is getting things straightened out...Plainview may be counting the days to the hardwood. Estacado wins.
Dalhart - Perryton...the loser will have a do or die game with Borger. That's probably going to be Dalhart. I take the Rangers at home.
Canyon - Borger...what Borger team will show up...doesn't matter. Canyon is better than any of the Borger teams.
Panhandle - Sanford Fritch....Fritch has the possibility of being a spoiler in this district. The Panthers had better not take them lightly. Panhandle in a closer game than a lot of people think.
West Texas High - Spearman...the game to avoid dead azz last. Only the parents care who wins this one. I pass too. Good luck to both teams.
Canadian - Stratford...one of the premier games in the Panhandle. Two highly ranked teams most likely playing for the district championship....should draw a crowd...I'd like to be one of them...the crowd that is....Throw away the records and everything else and call me crazy, I just think it's Canadian's time to win. Besides, carry this drama on another week when Panhandle and Canadian meet....a victory then by the Panthers could send this district into a 3-way tie.....ah drama..
River Road - Highland Park...one team is going to lose its perfect record with a victory. A classic battle of the beatens, one of these teams will venture into unknown territory when they take home a W. I have to give the nod to Highland Park to maintain their perfect 0-for record. River Road will go home with the 1-for.
Bushland - Dimmitt...Bushland will be in complete control in a warm-up for Muleshoe.
Childress - Shallowater....Childress rolls over Shallowhatever.
Abernathy - Littlefield...the Wildcats will rebound and rebound hard against the Lopes. Littlefield by a couple of touchdowns.
Sunray - Gruver...a must win for Gruver. They won't...Sunray marches on.
White Deer - Vega...Bucks win....Bucks win....Bucks win....
Memphis - Quanah...again the big boys say Memhis is supposed to take this one. I won't argue with the big boys.
I think this is enough....let's hear what you think and if your team's game is not list it....post it and we will take a crack at a fearless prediction on it.
Captain, you want heads or tails?

Hey oui3...here with my safe picks... Coronado all over AHS Estacado's been looking good...sorry Plainview Abernathy doesn't stand a chance against Littlefield Big Spring at Frenship...Frenship at home should be enough for a W and just for my boys...Slaton at Roosevelt...as much as I'd love to see the Eagles send Slaton home with their tails tucked in...don't think it'll happen...Slaton with the W

ill go for one this week.....guess which game Pampa-Randall.... good rivalry, records dont matter, its usually close....... heard pampa had too good of a weekend and lost some players......like over half the starters for instance....no facts just rumors as usual lol If its true, ah heck even if its not true, Randall is District champs i called it from the start, they are going to run the table, they win by however much they wanna win by, pampa is crippled and i dont think they will hobble away looking any kind of good from this district much less this game

I feel your pain h-pride.
Sounds like the only one that is actually not getting to play is the one that is a repeat offender this year. I keep hearing the name of one of the party givers - so he is obviously getting to play. You dont punish him, how can you punish the ones who show up for the party?
24-7 late in the 2nd. I finally hd to turn it off for a while.
I talked with a couple of dads after last weeks game and they feel pretty sure that Pampa has all ready won their last game this year.
Pampa programs are going to be looking up at Caprock and Dumas in all the boys sports before long.
All the sports coaching staffs may have some good guys mixed in here and there, but few good coaches.

Its a final. Randall 31 - Pampa 21
None of the Pampa starters sat out in the 2nd half.
I guess the reporter is the only one to actually get punished.

Amarillo High - Coronado...definite play-off implications on this one. Lubbock's Lowery field is usually kind to Coronado. It will be this week...Coronado wins. in Coronado does win in what was a really good ball game till the very end.
Tascosa - San Angelo Central...normally I would pick the home team on this long, long road trip...not this time...by golly, I'm picking the Rebels till they win.
Rebels lose, darn it.
Caprock - Hereford...Hostile Herd of Whitefaces is more hostile than a herd of Longhorns...Hereford wins the cattle bowl.
Hereford wins the Battle of the Cattle.
Palo Duro - Dumas...I think this will be a good game. Dumas dings Dons.
Demons do it.
Pampa - Randall...Pampa can't stop Randall from winning district...or this ball game.
Roiders Rock!
Plainview - Estacado...Estacado is getting things straightened out...Plainview may be counting the days to the hardwood. Estacado wins.
Esatcado extends Plainview's losing streak.
Dalhart - Perryton...the loser will have a do or die game with Borger. That's probably going to be Dalhart. I take the Rangers at home.
Oops, Dalhart wins. Congrats Golden Wolves.
Canyon - Borger...what Borger team will show up...doesn't matter. Canyon is better than any of the Borger teams.
Canyon wins....next?
Panhandle - Sanford Fritch....Fritch has the possibility of being a spoiler in this district. The Panthers had better not take them lightly. Panhandle in a closer game than a lot of people think.
Eagles soar. Fritch kisses P-Handle's play-off hopes goodbye.
West Texas High - Spearman...the game to avoid dead azz last. Only the parents care who wins this one. I pass too. Good luck to both teams.
If anyone cares, WT High won.
P-handle did not hold up their end but Canadian did. Wildcast win in what was a very good game. The district championship probably comes with this victory.
River Road - Highland Park...one team is going to lose its perfect record with a victory. A classic battle of the beatens, one of these teams will venture into unknown territory when they take home a W. I have to give the nod to Highland Park to maintain their perfect 0-for record. River Road will go home with the 1-for.
HP keeps their record perfect by losing to River Road 0-35.
Bushland - Dimmitt...Bushland will be in complete control in a warm-up for Muleshoe.
Bushland continues to rock and roll. Sets up big game with Muleshoe.
Childress - Shallowater....Childress rolls over Shallowhatever.
Childress marches on to district championship.
Abernathy - Littlefield...the Wildcats will rebound and rebound hard against the Lopes. Littlefield by a couple of touchdowns.
LIttlefield is headed to the play0offs.
Sunray - Gruver...a must win for Gruver. They won't...Sunray marches on.
Sunray, in a good one.
White Deer - Vega...Bucks win....Bucks win....Bucks win....
Bucks win.
Memphis - Quanah...again the big boys say Memhis is supposed to take this one. I won't argue with the big boys.
The big boys lied to me. Quanah nails Memphis.

I went and checked the scores...I had another perfect week! So...that really has me wondering who the guy is...that you get your information and picks from.... When I was a senior in HS...our government/free enterprise class teacher was a football coach...and so we had a weekly HS/College/Pro football picks contest going. It was completely disgusting...because a girl won the thing...and even beat the coach. And all these years later...she is still proud of her accomplishment over the guys.

So you don't think a girl can like football? Oh, bring it on! My daddy had me teething on the Cowboys. Remember, I'm the single girl...I can figure these things out for myself. Again, BRING IT ON, BABY!

I totally agree with you, i heard there was player running "raiders" (pampas form of punishment) till 11 o clock the night before the game just so they could play. and i heard that only the repeat offender was benched. I saw it from the beginning and i hope people are starting to see it. A name is not a credible resume for a coach. i remember how everyone last year was glad to see Wood gone and bring on the new era of Cav... its here and its going in the opposite direction of the first era. I personally thought Wood was right man for the job he knows how to win. and how to motivate. hes a great coach Cav is a good guy dont get me wrong i have the utmost respect for the man. i just think he's too inexperienced for a 4a job to be his first as head coach
