I think this was a wonderful decision on the part of the judge. These people are absolute scum and they need to know that their wealth does not make them above the law. Also, her mother's behavior showcases just what a vile, disgusting family this really is. If people want to know what is wrong with that herpes machine PH, they need to look no further than the parents. tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=261148

I think this was a wonderful decision on the part of the judge. It may indeed have been the correct decision; however, the net outcome is a positive for Miss Hilton. This publicity and drama only adds to her celebrity. It's money in the bank.

Anyone else would have got a LOT more time.....
And what is this I read about some of these people get to pick the jail they want to go to and pay out of their own pocket to go there. Thats a bunch of bs... they shouldn't have ANY special treatment.... a criminal is a criminal.
Take Martha Stewart for example.... wouldn't your average person have received WAY more jail time for her crime? She didn't even do a year.

Facing 45 days in the slammer, what's a poor girl to do? If you're fallen party princess Paris Hilton, you go shopping. The hotel heiress, dressed demurely in an angelic lacy white dress, her eyes hidden behind large sunglasses, drowned her sorrows yesterday afternoon by shopping with her mother, Kathy, at Francis-Orr and Ermenegildo in Beverly Hills and grabbing lunch at Prego. She gathered up butterfly stickers and colored pens, wrapping paper and a "happy birthday" gift bag. Outside her home before the shopping spree she railed against the judge and bemoaned her fate. "I told the truth yesterday," she told photographers. "I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwanted and I don't deserve this." Poor, spoiled baby!!
