I need to see if I can dig up more on this...because it's sort of funny. www.texasmonthly.com/delayofgameTuesday, November 27, 2007 Rice wins halftime posted by Kyle Adams at 12:22 PM Gotta love a literary marching band. Tulsa has filed a formal complaint with Conference USA over the Rice marching band's performance of "Todd Graham's Inferno" during halftime of Saturday's football game in Houston. Graham left Rice for Tulsa after just one season. His Golden Hurricane defeated Rice 48-43 to win the C-USA West Division title. Tulsa plays Central Florida for the conference championship Saturday. The band's show depicted a search for the former Owls coach through different circles of Hell — based on Dante's "Divine Comedy." The Tulsa World reported Tuesday that the show ended by calling Graham an offensive name over the public address system. 1 comments Anonymous said... That may be the best halftime show I have ever seen! The post above leaves out the main point, which is WHY the Marching Owl Band likened Tulsa Coach Todd Graham to Dante's descent into hell - which is that he BROKE a SIGNED CONTRACT to coach for the Owls after getting a better offer from Tulsa three days after signing the contract. You know, the right time for an HONEST person to look for better deals is BEFORE signing a contract. So I agree with those sweet words that concluded the half time show: "It is not known exactly what Todd Graham said to the Devil at that point - but one thing is for sure - and that is that Todd Graham is a D**CHE BAG" November 27, 2007 2:51 PM

LOL w-t, that is funny. The Owl band is known for their off-beat and often disrespectful half-time shows. Yes, the tradition continues.....

Dr. Phil was on Letterman a while back...telling how bad the University of Houston stomped them...when he played football in college @ Tulsa.
I can't remember what he said the score was...but it was pretty bad.

I heard the Tulsa folks were really upset once someone told them who Dante was.

Why didn't he talk about his checkered past, including deceitful business practces, ethical violations, spousal abuse of his first wife, and all of the people he ripped off in Wichita Falls? Dr. Phil sucks.
