Why didn't the Dusters try to get Cody Hodges?
what a draw he would have brought to the dusters.

He plays for FT Wayne, Look at this article:
Quarterback on the run not planned, but successful By Stacy Clardie The Journal Gazette “Quarterback ISO” is the only running play in the Fusion’s playbook for Cody Hodges.
And yet, he’s continually been making big plays with his feet.
Hodges added four more rushing touchdowns to his total in Fort Wayne’s 63-56 victory over Spokane on Sunday.
Hodges already has seven rushing touchdowns in three games – that leads the af2 – and he’s also the league leader in rushing yards with 104.
That certainly never was coach Eddie Brown’s plan.
“He just made good decisions and tucked the ball away and ran, and I’m glad he did it,” Brown said. “But, just so you know, there will be no quarterback runs in our game.”
The lone actual called run was the aforementioned ISO, and that was when the Fusion needed to pick up a fourth-and-1 in the third quarter. Hodges converted that, but he also has proved he can get more than short yardage with five runs of at least 9 yards.
His TDs against the Shock were from 2, 9, 11 and 25 yards.
On one, he scrambled all over the backfield before charging ahead and muscling his way close enough to the end zone to be able to reach his arms to the goal line. On a 25-yard dash in the third quarter, he ducked under a rusher near the line of scrimmage then dashed down the right sideline and slipped past cornerback Rob Keefe at about the 15-yard line and cruised in.
“By me running so much, it’s not that the O-line didn’t do well,” Hodges said. “By the way they were blocking them, they were washing them out and then I would step up. Spokane ran a lot of man (coverage). So there was nobody for me. I told those guys, ‘I’m going to try to throw first. But if I can run, then, hey, I’m going to take off, too.’ And those guys did a great job blocking downfield.”

Thanks 24, I was not aware. Neat.
I got to see Cody play a number of times in high school both basketball and football. I was most impressed by his ability on the basketball court. The young man is a winner. He does what is neccessary to come up with the W.

Most coaches cringe when a quarterback takes off running...because it's too easy to get hurt that way.
