 ::)You can fill the stands with a fireworks show but you can't even get close in the game? Where is the priority? What a horrible baseball game played by the dillas last night on the 4th. ::)This team has struggled to compete in this league all year. Is this the best players they can find??? What about the coach? Seems the GM is doing the job with attendance. What is wrong with the product on the field? Where do they get these guys? Peace

rick, it may be a toss-up whether some go to the Dilla Villa for baseball or beer.
You gotta love baseball to put up with the talent on the field.
I really like going down the road to watch Big XII baseball. Excellent facilities, good food, the Tech Hecklers are a hoot, and some very good talent on most of the Big XII teams.

8-)Having followed college baseball the past 10 or so years watching family and friends play, it is better ball at the big 12, juco, wood bat summer college ball, and NAIA level than I ever see at the villa. I go to watch the game. :PThis league leaves something out. There are good players out there that never get a sniff to play because they are not in the clique with the likes of some of these coaches and GM's. It is the real--- good 'ol boy network. The players at this level make on average $800 a month with no other perks. That's why you see either the kid who can afford this or the other one who thinks this is a lot of money. You know--- the ones from out of the country. Can you say cheap labor??? :-[Anyway, it's to bad!!! I hate the fact that I could care less if I go or not, I would love to see good pro baseball. All the other things seem to be in place, good attendance, nice park, reasonable prices, heck even nice uniforms and even the chicken comes, and don't forget nice fireworks. Guess I'll have to continue to watch pee wee, select ball, high school, and some college to get my fix. Peace |
