A very close finish....after a very slow starting game.
I guess I'm not used to a low-scoring defensive battle...
after being exposed to the high-scoring lawn basketball offense that WTAMU and Tech have been playing.
I've got to admit that I like lots of points being on the board...and that's really fun when both teams are able to keep up with the shootout.
I really thought Brady had pulled it out...but there was just too much time left.

It was a low-scoring defensive battle, but a good game none the less. The fumble that looked like the Giants gained a first down on, but then lost yardage due to a foul made for great TV.

I really thought teh mistakes made by teh Giants hampered them from kicking the Patriots collective asses worse.
Yeap I new they were nailing Bradshaw for illegal bat as soon as he swatted that ball. You can not do that towards your opponents goalline on a loose ball. Very rare penalty.
I for one was not sure the Giants could muster a drive in the end to win. They are not exactly known for that. Their players performed in the moments they needed it.
Thank gawd we will not hear about the 2007 Patriots being the greatest team ever. THANK FREAKING GOODNESS.

Football isn't my favorite sport, mostly because I don't completely understand all the rules, and because I don't really follow a team ... but, I watched the Super Bowl and enjoyed it because it was a close game. I was happy the Giants won, because I'm almost always for the underdogs, but I was kinda sad that the Patriots had to ruin their perfect season on the Super Bowl.

I was happy with the results. I took the Giants on the money line and it paid off for me.

Not real familiar with the '08 schedule, are you? Unless you have delusions of grandeur and think TTu will make it to the Big 12 championship.

Uhh, they don't play in the regular season next year, dumbass!!! CU is in the North, while TTU is in the South. They play 2 years on, then 2 years off. Since CU has swept TTU 2 years in a row, they will not play in the regular season for the next 2 seasons. Now, there is always the possibility that they will meet up in the conference championship, but that would mean TTU would have to finish the season atop Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, and Baylor in the conference standings to advance. Since Tech has NEVER made it to the conference championship game and both Missouri and Kansas return a lot of players next year, I think a wager may be a bit premature at this juncture. That Tech degree isn't working out too well for you, is it? I guess I'd be angry too if I had spent 4-5 years of my life attending school and wasn't able to find gainful employment outside of the bartending field. Cheer up, though. I'm sure your good buddy Quackenbush will come in and leave you a fat tip one of these days.

I wasn't really that serious about the Tech incident, but now you've kinda gotten my feathers ruffled, petiepanzerPetie? That's a deriative of Peter, right? And what's the slang for Peter. D-I-C-K. So, okay little d-i-c-k-nazi you get all butt-hurt for what? I really don't breathe the TTU-CU rivalry like you do and actually I could care less. What bothers me though, is your ignorant take on the service class employment. To make sense to your simple brain is that that means servers and bartenders. Since you think my Tech degree didn't amount to anything, let me digress. I used my degree as a microbiologist for 10 years including all management positions and a few as corporate. My last micro job was Assistant Quality Control Supervisor/Microbiology Lab for a main area dairy downtown Amarillo which was 3 years ago. I quit that and went back to bartending, littlepetiepanzer because I CHOSE TO. And you know what???...I'm happy. I don't have a set schedule or set days off and I'm happy! I am not an 8-5 person and my customers so believe it. I have customers come in 4 times a year and still proclaim me the best bartender in Amarillo because I remember things like what they drink, their names, what they do, etc.. I've always been good at what I do, which according to your case would be knowing which ones to *oh nevermind, I'd probably get banned anyway fo suggesting such homosexual thoughts". As for "my buddy Quackenbush", he tips FAT!. Probably a lot more than your retarded inbred self would.

As for "my buddy Quackenbush", he tips FAT!. Probably a lot more than your retarded inbred self would. Wow, I was joking with you, but it appears I really got your panties in a bunch, didn't I? Just an observation, but it appears that you are stalking me. Now, you say that you are not that serious about the Tech-CU rivalry(I'm really not, either, except in good-natured fun.), yet you seem to follow me around from post to post and try to inject that into topics of conversation where it has absolutely nothing to do with the original topic, like the current thread. Again, if you don't take it seriously, why do you follow me around, stalking me and continually injecting such nonsense into other threads? Here's another observation: you always seem to come on in the wee hours of the morning, after the bars let out. Are you usually loaded when you come on here to post? Maybe you have been enjoying some of that powdered stuff that seems to be so prevalent amongst the Amarillo bar fly crowd? Hey, I'm not judging, I'm just trying to get as much information as possible, so that I can better understand your point of view and your mind set when you post . I think that is a fair question. As for your job, I am glad you enjoy what you do. I think everyone should do something they enjoy. I know that I do. As for Quackenbush, I am not surprised that he is a good customer. I believe he has had numerous alcohol-related arrests and tat was all brought out when he decided to run for Congress, did it not? I am glad that he is generous with his money at the bar and tips his bartenders and waitresses well. Now, if he would only take that sense of generosity over into other aspects of his life and start paying his property taxes on time, or stop filing frivolous lawsuits, the Texas Panhandle would be a better place. It seems like I heard that he had moved to Austin and was running a hot dog stand down there, but that could have been idle conversation. Is he still married to Debbie *snicker*?
