When will WT begin?
When will the advertising of the football season begin and where are the season tickets? Have any of you received yours? I haven't.
Tonight I was at major Amarillo non-profit meeting with over 70 Amarillo/Canyon folks. There were several people who have buildings named for them in this area and large donors to the community.
Conversation turned to WT Football. Everyone was excited about the upcoming season. The big question from several WEALTHY individuals was, when are they going to advertise the upcoming game and season? This started a lengthy discussion about WT dropping the community awareness ball when things are going good.
Then, one large contributor to the university, who recently hosted an event at his ranch for the football program, stated he had not received his season tickets and the first game is next week.
What are they waiting for in Canyon?
p.s I am not West Texan. I just thought it was interesting that these folks (who give big bucks to everything in the community) were expressing some of West Texan's concerns
WT still has not advertised the game or told the Amarillo public about the upcoming 8-30-07 Thursday night game against South Dakota.
A college football game on a very odd night...and it appears that WTAMU does not want a big crowd...by not getting the word out.
Weird.....according to the frontpage banner on www.gobuffsgo.com...WT doesn't have a season opener football game on Thursday....WTF?
A few years back....the AGN sports dept and columnist Putt Powell....would have been all over McBroom....for what he hasn't done for advertising and marketing.
But....the current AGN sports bunch will not question a single thing that WTAMU does....and completely turns their head when WT doesn't do something they should.
