Fitting punishment?

The Globe News is a piece of crap of a newspaper...because KVII had the story out on April 24...but the Globe News never mentioned it until April 26...2 days later.
Lance and Greg...you got your lazy wanna-be sportswriter butts scooped by KVII. ;D
You guys were freaking 2 days behind...and the KVII story even had more information.

I think I'd have a real problem with an adult assaulting my child. Reading some of the comments about this coach on the KVII site, it sounds like this coach has a very short fuse and has done this kind of crap before. People like that don't need to be working around children. If the school board was smart, they would not renew this guy's contract, as he sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen. In fact, I think the man may even deserve to lose his license to teach.
Only in Texas, with its friday night lights mentality, would a coach be aloowed to physically assault a child and get off so lightly. I hope the mother keeps pushing for legal action to be taken against this coach and doesn't cave in to any community pressure to 'drop it'. It's not the 1950's anymore, and there is no place for an adult to choke a child and slam him up against the wall because he couldn't finish his weight reps.
