That's right...
Greg Mitchell charges the highest gas prices in town...
And now his Phillips66 gas is watered down with ethanol.
I always park out at the pumps...so I can drive straight out...without backing.
Went in the TNT at 34th and Bell late this afternoon...for a fountain coke refill...
And noticed that the pumps now have a sticker that says:
E10 Ethanol Blend
I then drove by a TNT that sells Valero gas...and another TNT that sells Shell gas...and those do not have stickers that say ethanol.
I'm currently gassing up at Market St on Georgia...that sells Conoco.
I'm Not sure if the Phillips66 gas at Pak-A-Sak is also watered down with ethanol.
The ethanol seems to cut your gas mileage by like 1/3....so Mitchell needs to cut his prices by 1/3...or sell real 100 percent gas.

Also...by signs on the pumps...Wal-Mart/Murphy gas is also watered down with Ethanol. Hope this isn't the start of a bad trend in Amarillo...where it becomes hard to get real pure gasoline. Given the cost of production of corn and the transportation and processing of corn...ethanol is not saving money. In my opinion...ethanol is really just another form of farm subsidy.

This may seem strange, but my mileage increased 4-5 MPG with Murphy's ethanol blend. It's a '95 Pontiac 3.8L v6 averaging 25 city, 31 highway....yeah, '95 model....
Oh, still haven't step foot in a TnT in 4+ years ;D

I don't buy from TnT. But I lent my car to my cousin a few weeks ago and when she brought it back she had filled it up with gas. The receipt was still in the car, so I know she bought gas at TnT and bought a full tank. There was basically no difference in the gas mileage. I normally get 27-28 in town. With that tank of gas, I came up with 26 point something. So no great difference in the TnT gas she bought and the gas I normally buy.
Still don't intend to buy TnT though...

I just paid $3.59 out at Pilot. Didn't see any ethanol stickers.

Just so everyone knows...
I went to the TNT @ 26th and Paramount yesterday...for a fountain diet coke refill...
And the Valero gas pumps now have ethanol stickers too.
Market St just down the street from there...still does not have ethanol stickers...
I'm wondering if it's just Mitchell with ethanol...or if anyone else has it.
>> Anyone know if the ethanol has a higher or lower wholesale price...than pure gasoline?

With the new Panda ethanol plant close to being completed at Hereford...
If we start getting that fuel in Amarillo...
They need to give us a price break...because the transportation cost will be very LOW...to get gas to Amarillo from Hereford.
