no hookie here. today is hubby's Saturday.
Sorry it took so long, we went to lunch afterwards (Cadillac Joe's-- blech!) and ran an errand.

The much anticipated movie (for us anyway) didn't disappoint.
Indiana Jones is older from the last movie and he knows it, he doesn't pretend to be some "hip young guy", but in acknoweldging he has aged, it makes him cool. The movie does end in a sort of silly way, but isn't that why we all go to the movies, to be entertained. Shia LeBeouf (sp?) does a great job and it was awesome to see Karen Allen again. Cate Blanchett does a good job as a Russian officer. Overall the movie is good and it will be added to our DVD collection once out on video.

A friend of mine said it was ok at best. Said for an Indy movie too much CGI.

Too much CGI and typical Lucas overuse of nostalgia and in-jokes. Kinda cutesy, and no emotional impact at all. No heart. Otherwise, it was decent entertainment. Not as bad as the new Star Wars movies, but that doesn't say much.

I think the characters were shortchanged. I think Harrison Ford was great, and his age had nothing to do with it. I agree it was Lucas. And the ending was...ugh.
