There's a reason why we get Amarillo and Texas Tech google ads at the top of the main page...but the ads must work differently in other places.

If you talk about it...then ads for it magically appear. Testing it out! At the top of the page, when posting a topic something related pops up, here's what was on this page: Amarillo Singles Events Cupid/PreDating holds monthly Speed Date singles events in Amarillo TX. www.Pre-Dating.com

That's how Google makes their bread. I notice that whatever terms I search on I notice ads for topics closely related to the search criteria.
When the first television set was shown to an advertising executive he smiled from ear to ear and said "this will be like shooting fish in a barrel".
Internet connectivity is about as commonplace now as other household utilities like telephone and televsion service. As an advertising medium this is the new frontier - billions of people connected to computers you can reach in a blink of an eye anywhere on the planet.

MySpace does the same thing. It notes what your interests are and places ads on your page. For example, I had something on there about psychology, and forensics, etc. Those ads are all over my profile page when I'm logged in.

Guess I'm missing out on all the fun, I have AdBlock so I don't get any banner ads with my surfing.... guess you all can get your sex talk on all you want--won't make my AdBlock blush, or nod in agreement!!
