SOLD! They sold to United, and will be working out of Market Street now. Kinda convenient since I work there, too. Of course, it was convenient anyway, since they were across the street from Wolflin Square and my other job.

Do you know if they will still do the blood draws for checking cholesterol and a few other things for $20.00?

Way to swallow up and eliminate the closest competition! A page right out of Greg Mitchell's Toot-N-Totum playbook. Independent pharmacies are going the way of the family farm. Buy-ups and buy-outs and consolidations.

Buy-ups and buy-outs and consolidations. Actually, Dick Storseth held out against selling to many different huge chains for a very long time. He decided it was time to get on the path to retire, and chose United because it was a locally (citing Lubbock is still close enough to consider more hometown than national chains) owned and he could trust the company to take care of his employees, who are moving with the business, as well as his patrons. I don't know about the blood draws etc. United may do that anyway and I just don't know about that yet.
