I woke up at 5:30 this morning to rain and it hasn't stopped all day. My yard is flooded. If this continues all night, there will be people who can't get to work tomorrow. Our streets have no drainage. This is kind of nice.

8 1/2 inches. Tech and LCU are closed. Lubbock schools are closed. Many streets are closed. This is the most rain Lubbock has received in history. The mayor has declared a state of emergency. Wow.
